Born to a mother from North Africa and a father from the Arabian Peninsula has exposed Dr. Wafa early on to the different socially-constructed elements of culture and identity. She enjoys diversity and has established friendships all over the World.

Community Service

Growing up in the United Arab Emirates, she spent her youthful days actively involved in the local society as a writer and a volunteer for different social causes, representing her home country as a delegate on several occasions.

Dr. Wafa Khalfan has been both a lifelong learner and a hard-worker, forging her own niche career path that combines practice with business and research. She values work ethic; dismissing all of the toxic forms of nepotism and discrimination by all means. Dr. Wafa advocates for prioritising well-being and recognising invisible disabilities.

Polymathy

Dr. Wafa Khalfan has embraced polymathy by obtaining both her Certificate of General Secondary Education (CGSE) and her first degree in the sciences, before choosing to focus on her passion for media and journalism in the postgraduate level, graduating with a terminal degree in Media and Cultural Policy (PhD, University of Glasgow).
